Insurers & claims handlers

A claim should be a file. Not an argument.

When a loss or damage claim lands, the question is always evidence: what condition it was in, what was in the shipment, when each thing happened. Capture it once at survey and on the doorstep, so the claim is a record you open, not a case you reconstruct.

The dispute is not about the damage. It is about the evidence nobody kept.

A customer says an item was broken in transit. The mover says it was already marked. Without a dated photo, a condition note and an inventory line, the claims handler is refereeing two memories, and the payout is decided by whoever argues hardest rather than by what happened. Good evidence does not appear when a claim is filed. It is captured weeks earlier, at the survey and at delivery, or it does not exist at all.

Captured once

The evidence, taken at the job. Not reconstructed after the claim.

Survey photos, condition notes, the inventory and the customer's own sign-off are captured while the move happens, on the record the claim will later reference.

On-site or video survey

The pre-move survey, on-site or over video, records what was there and its condition before a truck arrives. A claim can be checked against the state the item started in, not just the state it ended in.

Photos and condition from the field

The crew captures photos and condition notes on the Field app, offline if the dock has no signal, on the actual items. The evidence is taken by the people handling the goods, at the moment they handle them.

Inventory that ties to the item

Every piece is an inventory line, so a claim points at a specific item with its own history rather than at a vague box of kitchen things. Warehousing movements are tracked the same way when goods are stored.

The customer's own sign-off

The customer signs on the doorstep, on the device, against the inventory in front of them. Their signature is on the record, which turns a later dispute into a comparison rather than a standoff.

A defensible file

Every timestamp in one place. So the file defends itself.

Milestones, photos, sign-off and inventory sit on one job record with the times they happened. When a claim is opened, the handler reads a chronology rather than requesting evidence piece by piece.

Timestamps you can trust

Survey, pickup, each carrier milestone and delivery are dated on the record as they occur. When a claim turns on when damage happened, the timeline is already written, not estimated later.

Milestones across the whole journey

Sea, air and road milestones with exception alerts show where the shipment was at every step. A handler can see whether an exception lines up with the reported damage instead of guessing.

One record, not a scramble

Survey, inventory, photos, sign-off and milestones live on the same job. The claim file is assembled continuously as the move runs, so it exists the moment it is needed.

A branded page the customer already saw

The customer followed the move on a branded tracking page with the same milestones the claim references. Fewer claims start from surprise, and the ones that do start from a shared set of facts.

Why it matters

Claims are won on records. Kept before anyone knew there was a claim.

A defensible claim file is not something you build under pressure. It is captured at survey and at delivery, or the handler is left refereeing an argument.
