Moving company CRM

# A moving company CRM that knows a move is not a deal.

A general-purpose CRM tracks a deal: a name, a number and a close date. A move has a survey, an inventory, a volume, a date range, a crew and a truck, and the price falls out of those. So a moving company CRM has to be the front of the job record, not a sales tool parked beside it.

Booked

## The quote you lost and nobody can tell you why.

Somewhere between the enquiry and the follow-up the job went to somebody else, and there is no honest account of why. The lead arrived in a shared inbox, the price came out of a spreadsheet one rep keeps a copy of, and the note about the third-floor walk-up was in somebody's head. A sales tool will tell you the deal was marked lost. It will not tell you the volume was guessed, the survey was never booked and the follow-up went out nine days late. That is a record problem, and it is what costs you the work.

Enquiry to booked job

## Every enquiry in one pipeline. With a source, an owner and a next step.

Website forms, forwarded emails, portal leads and phone calls all land as the same kind of record, in stages the whole team can see.

### Every lead carries its source

Your own site form, a broker, a referral, a corporate account. Which sources actually book becomes a number instead of a hunch.

### One owner, one next step

New, contacted, survey scheduled, estimated, proposed, won, lost. The lead with no next action is visible, which is the only reason it gets one.

### Qualification that survives the sale

Who pays, the decision maker, insurance, access at both ends, the date they cannot move. Captured on the lead and still there on move day.

### The customer file is the whole history

Every quote, version, note and job that customer has moved with you, on one file. A repeat enquiry from a [corporate account](https://www.moveezi.com/corporates) opens knowing what you charged last time; an [international](https://www.moveezi.com/international) one carries mode, agents and currency. The [sales and quoting module](https://www.moveezi.com/sales) covers the pipeline in full.

Quoting

## The price comes out of the inventory. Not out of a text box.

This is where a moving business and a general sales tool part company. A deal has an amount somebody types. A move has a volume, a distance, an access problem and a crew, and the amount falls out of them.

### Survey it, then price it

Book a [video survey](https://www.moveezi.com/video-survey) or an on-site one from the lead. Items are captured once, volume builds as you walk the house, and the estimate moves with it while you are on the call.

### Your tariffs, applied the same way

Rate tables, domestic and international tariffs and negotiated corporate programs. Import the spreadsheets you already price on, so two reps quoting the same job reach the same number.

### Options, then a signature

Several priced options on one branded link, one marked as recommended. The customer picks, signs in the browser, and the lead flips to won with a timestamp.

### Every version is kept

Quotes are versioned with who changed what and why, so what you sent them in March is one click. A lost quote can be reopened, re-priced and sent again.

The handover

## Won at four o'clock. On the board a minute later.

This is the part a CRM bolted next to your operation cannot do. The quote and the job are one record, so acceptance is a change of state rather than a copy and paste.

### The job already exists

Addresses, access notes, inventory, volume, dates and priced services are already there. Winning the work does not create a second copy to keep in step.

### Straight onto the board

The booked job appears in [dispatch](https://www.moveezi.com/dispatch) with the work it was sold with, so crews and trucks are planned against the real job, not a one-line summary of it.

### The crew sees what was sold

The Field app opens on the same inventory the customer was quoted on, and the photos and signature come back to the same file.

### And the invoice comes off the same record

The invoice is built from the accepted options and the work that actually happened, and per-move profit and loss updates as crew hours and costs land, so what you sold against what it cost is visible while you can still do something about it. The CRM is one module of the wider [moving company software](https://www.moveezi.com/moving-company-software) platform; [see everything it runs](https://www.moveezi.com/features).

Follow-ups and reporting

## Win rate by source, rep and lane. And the chase that happens without you.

Two things decide whether a quote becomes a job: whether anybody followed it up, and what you learn from the ones that got away.

### Enzo chases the quiet ones

Enzo AI follows up the quotes you have not heard back on, flags a move whose margin has turned and reconciles invoices. You set how far it goes per capability, and everything it does is reversible.

### A loss with a reason on it

A declined proposal captures why instead of going silent: price, timing, availability, somebody else got there first. That tells you whether to change the price or the response time.

### Quoted, won, lost, by anything

By source, by rep, by move type, by lane. When [interstate work](https://www.moveezi.com/interstate) converts at half the rate of your [local jobs](https://www.moveezi.com/local), you find out in a week rather than at year end.

### Margin, not just revenue

Because the sale and the job share a record, win rate sits next to what those jobs earned, so a source that books plenty of thin work stops looking like a good one. The platform is not charged per seat: sales seats are their own line on the [pricing page](https://www.moveezi.com/pricing), and here is [why we do not charge per seat](https://www.moveezi.com/blog/why-we-do-not-charge-per-seat).

Why it matters

## A move is not a deal. The record has to know the difference.

A general-purpose CRM is good at what it was built for: a conversation, a number and a date. It cannot hold a volume, a crew and a truck, which is why a spreadsheet appears beside it.

One record, enquiry to invoice.

Follow-up

Sent automatically, and a loss records its reason.

Reporting

Win rate and margin out of the same data.

**A general-purpose CRM and a spreadsheet**

The record

A deal beside the operation, joined by a copy and paste.

The price

An amount typed in, off a sheet somebody forked.

Won

Marked won, then rekeyed into whatever runs the job.

Follow-up

A reminder that fires on the day nobody is free.

Reporting

Sales on one side, costs on the other.

FAQ

## The things movers actually ask us. Answered straight.

Does this replace my CRM?

For your moving work, yes, and that is the point. The pipeline, the quote and the job are one record, so there is nothing to keep in sync between a sales tool and the system that runs the move.

Can I bring my existing contacts and open quotes across?

Yes. Customers, contacts, corporate accounts and rate tables import from spreadsheets or CSV, and there is an API if you would rather push them in. Live quotes come across as leads.

Does it send email and keep the conversation?

Yes. Proposals go out as a branded link, follow-ups are sent from the lead, and enquiry emails forwarded in are parsed into leads. The thread sits on the record, not in one person's mailbox.

Is it worth it for a small operation?

A three-truck company loses quotes for the same reasons a thirty-truck one does. You take one module at a time, and a local or interstate business is live in hours. The platform is not charged per seat, so operations, dispatch, warehouse and accounts working in it does not change the bill. Sales seats are their own line on the pricing page.

What happens the moment a quote is won?

The lead becomes a booked job on the same record, carrying the inventory, addresses, access notes, dates and priced services it was sold with. It appears on the dispatch board, and the invoice and the margin build from the same place.
